UPDATE:  Thank you to our incredible neighbours and volunteers for helping us collect 4000 lbs of food, toiletries and gifts.    Your generosity will go a long way to help families in need.

-------

Last year we had an overwhelming show of support from our generous neighbours in Watercolours and we were able to deliver approximately 2000 pounds of food and toys to help families in need! We are hoping to reach the same or better goal this year!

With the help of our team of volunteers and a visit from Santa, we have planned a Food and Gift Drive once again this year.   All donations will be delivered to our friends at The Compass.

PLEASE LEAVE ALL DONATIONS OUTSIDE YOUR FRONT DOOR ON SUNDAY DECEMBER 17, 2017 NO LATER THAN 10:00AM so our volunteers do not miss picking up your generous items!

Our team of volunteers will pick up your items between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

We had a great turnout last night at our AGM.   The executive board would like to extend thanks to our special guests Councillor Karen Ras and Peel Regional Police Constable Taryn Hill (11 Division Community Liaison Officer) for presenting at the meeting.

If you signed up at the meeting last night and you have not already done so, please remember to register for a member account on our website so we can add you to our member only email list.

We covered a number of topics that included:

Board Member Election:  The position of President, Treasurer and Member-At-Large were up for election.  We welcome Tricia Leone as the newest member taking on the position previously held by Catherine Bourelle.    Thank you, Catherine, for your devotion to the LPWRA while on the board.

  • President - Alex Ragozzino
  • Vice-President - Leanne Swayze
  • Chief Administrative Officer - Lisa Defrancesco
  • Treasurer - Michelle DeMarco
  • Secretary - Sandra Edmonds
  • Member at Large - Tricia Leone

Safety & Security:  We covered a wide variety of topics.  Stay tuned for updates on plans to hold a Security Fair, where we invite the Peel Regional Police to present more details of some of the items we discussed.

Social Media Channels Launched:  We are pleased to announce the launch of a Twitter and Facebook account.   We welcome you to follow us.

If you missed the meeting last night, we will be posting the presentation on our member-only bulletin board in the coming days.    Now is a great time to join if you already haven't done so!

Membership renewal is due annualy by October 1.  For  $20 per household, per year you will continue to enjoy such benefits as remaining on our email newsletter list, having access to our member only bulletin board, be able to participate in events hosted by the association and vote.

Renewing helps support our volunteer run organization, so we can continue to protect, promote and improve our neighbourhood.  Your dues also go a long way to to help pay for our website, email newsletter communication and association events or initiatives.  If your membership expires, you will no longer be able to access the bulletin board or receive email newsletter notices.
